Beyond The Realization of "LiB to LiB"

New Resource Circulation Model of Asaka Riken

Beyond The Realization of "LiB to LiB"

We believe that the realization of "LiB to LiB", in which rare metals are recycled from used LiBs and supplied as raw materials for LiBs, will help solve global supply chain issues such as the development of rare metal mines, stable procurement of raw materials, and disposal of waste products.
We will contribute to building a stable circular economy and show that a truly sustainable society can be realized even in a country like Japan, where natural resources are scarce.

  • Challenges in
    the LiB supply chain

  • As competition to secure minor metals and other scarce resources intensifies as we strive to achieve a decarbonized society. The challenges facing the LiB supply chain becomes more and more serious.
In addition to resource depletion, countries with resources face destruction of nature and forced labor due to excessive mining development. Countries without natural resources such as Japan face a wide range of issues, such as securing stable quantities of materials and fluctuating procurement prices.

Contributing toward a sustainable society
Rediscovering and Regenerating the potential of resources

Minor metals and other resources offer various possibilities.
That is why we must change "destruction" of the global environment caused by excessive mine development and disposal to "regeneration." We have established our LiB recycling business by utilizing our unique technological capabilities and agility that we have cultivated over the years.
We will continue to promote alliances with other companies to achieve "LiB to LiB" as soon as possible. We will never give up on any resource recycling as we hope for a future in which people and the Earth coexist in harmony.
