1969 to 1998 Establishment Period (Former name: Asaka Riken Industrial Co., Ltd.)

August 1969 Asaka Riken Industrial Co., Ltd. was established in Tamura-machi, Koriyama-shi, Fukushima to manufacture the ferric chloride solution and collect copper powder from printed-circuit board scraps and used etchants.
October 1971 Technology to recover gold was developed and the business to collect precious metals from printed-circuit boards began.
April 1973 Asaka Material Reduce Co., Ltd. was established to manufacture and sell precious metal plating solution (business withdrawn in June 1981).
August 1979 The transportation division was separated into an independent entity and Fukushima Kouun Co., Ltd. was established.
June 1981 Asaka Material Reduce Co., Ltd. changed its name to Asaka MR Co., Ltd.
August 1981 The department to manufacture the ferric chloride solution and collect copper powder from printed-circuit board scraps and used etchants was separated into an independent entity and Asaka Chemical Co., Ltd. was established.
March 1985 As Asaka Chemical Co., Ltd. and Asaka MR Co., Ltd. developed their business as separate companies, their goodwill was transferred to Asaka Riken Industrial Co., Ltd. for the purpose of streamlining and the division system was adopted at the same time (Precious Metal Division, Chemical Division and MR Division).
April 1985 Fukushima Kouun Co., Ltd. changed its name to Asaka Kouun Co., Ltd.
November 1985 Development and sales of microcomputer application system began (MR Division).
March 1992 Fukuyama Plant was established in Fukuyama-machi, Koriyama-shi, Fukushima.
April 1993 MR Division was separated into an individual entity for the purpose of organizational strengthening, and Asaka MR Co., Ltd. was established.
October 1995 Internet provider business began (business withdrawn in March 2005).
November 1995 Business development into a cleaning field (cleaning of crystal oscillators, shield plates and masks; cleaning of precision electronic components) began.

1999 to 2006 Period of domestic and international sales channel expansion

March 1999 Osaka Sales Office (Yodogawa-ku, Osaka-shi) was established to expend a sales network in the Western Japan district.
July 2001 Kyushu Sales Office (Yahatanishi-ku, Kitakyushu-shi) to expand a sales network in the Kyushu district.
August 2003 Taiwan Branch was established in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan to expand a sales network to overseas countries.
October 2003 Asaka MR Co., Ltd. was absorbed to improve efficiency as a group (MR Division [current System Division] was established).
February 2004 Osaka Sales Office was transferred to Suita-shi, Osaka.
November 2005 ISO9001:2000 certification was acquired for streamlining management and improving quality and production efficiency.
November 2006 An independent principal office was established in Tamura-machi, Koriyama-shi, Fukushima to centralize the management division.

2007 to the Present Start of Asaka Riken Co., Ltd.

October 2007 The company name was changed to Asaka Riken Co., Ltd.
November 2008 Stocks were listed on JASDAQ Stock Exchange.
April 2009 Kyushu Sales Office was transferred to Wakamatsu-ku, Kitakyushu-shi.
ISO9001:2000 was transitioned to ISO9001:2008.
April 2010 Merger of JASDAQ Stock Exchange and Osaka Stock Exchange led to listing on Osaka Stock Exchange JASDAQ Market.
The scope of ISO9001:2008 certification was expanded to Asaka Kouun Co., Ltd. as the group company.
October 2010 ISO14001:2004 certification was acquired as the Asaka Riken Group to continuously improve environmental performance.
March 2012 OHSAS18001:2007 certification was acquired as the Asaka Riken Group to adequately conduct risk management relating to industrial health and safety.
April 2012 Received the Commissioner of the Japan Patent Office Award (for excellent patent utilization) in the 2012 Intellectual Property Achievement Awards sponsored by the Japan Patent Office, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
July 2013 Merger of Osaka Stock Exchange and Tokyo Stock Exchange led to listing on Tokyo Stock Exchange JASDAQ (Standard) Market.
August 2014 Establishment of Iwaki Plant and Production Technology Development Center in Iwaki-shi, Fukushima as a research and development base for minor metal and rare earth recycling.
January 2015 Acquired CFS (now RMAP) certification for the headquarters and plant as a gold refinery that does not use conflict minerals. This was to ensure that we do not procure raw materials to finance or benefit armed groups that engage in inhumane acts.
April 2017 Acquired CFS (now RMAP) certification for the headquarters and plant as a gold refinery that does not use conflict minerals to ensure that it does not procure raw materials to finance or benefit armed groups that engage in inhumane acts.
May 2019 Full-fledged entry into the LiB recycling business.
October 2021 Kyushu Sales Office was transferred to Kokurakita-ku, Kitakyushu-shi.
April 2022 Listed on the Standard Market following a change in the listing classification of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
May 2022 Completed construction of the first headquarters building on the same site as the headquarters office (Koriyama-shi, Fukushima). (The name of the headquarters office was changed to “Headquarters Building No. 2”)
